PayPal "integration passing invalid or incorrect data"

If you've gotten an email (like the one at the bottom of this article) discussing PayPal noticing "that your integration has been passing either invalid or incorrect data to PayPal from one or more of your payment buttons"...

Here is how to resolve this issue:

- Log into your PayPal account

- Click on the word Profile in the top right of the screen

- Scroll down to where you see Sellers Tools on the left side

- Click on Seller Preferences and another browser tab should open

- On that page find the Instant Payment Notification option and click the Update link

- The text in this field should be
https://www.musicteachershelper.com/studentpayment/

If it starts with http, instead of https, then change that part by adding the s

The s makes sure the connection to Music Teacher's Helper is an encrypted session

- Make sure the Receive IPN messages (Enabled) option is selected

- Finally, click the Save button
