Balance Due Amount On Lesson Reminders

The Balance Due Feature allows you to show the current balance due on the event reminder emails that go out to your students. Many of our customers have asked for this ability, in order to get gentle reminders when a family owes money.

Instructions to follow from Video.

  1. Click Students -> Email Students -> Email Templates from the main menu.

  2. Click the “System Templates” tab.

  3. Click the editpngEdit icon next to Lesson Reminder

  4. In the email template content, you can type whatever you like. For example, to identify the statement balance, you could write: “Amount You Currently Owe:”

  5. Click “Select Variable” in the toolbar and click on “Balance Due”. This places the variable where your cursor is.

  6. Click “Save”.

Now, whenever Music Teacher’s Helper sends an automatic lesson reminder email to your students, they will see the Balance Due in the email, just as you’ve written it. The amount that shows here will pull from the current balance of the student’s account on the day the notification is sent.
